Does anyone know if anxiety/depression can have negative long-term effects on your heart?

Just wondering because the pain and tightening in my chest when I get an "episode" is scary and I feel like I'm dying sometimes. I don't think the stress is good for my heart. What do you think?

  • My doctor is less concerned with my heart but she said the constant stress has burned out my adrenal glands. She says that's not good. They don't repair themselves.
