fine motor or gross motor skill? (Wii)

My husband and I are in a debate as to whether using a Wii remote in games like wii resort and wii sports are fine motor skills or gross motor skills. I say it is gross he says fine. Which do you think?

  • More gross than fine, but having to use the buttons could be considered fine.

  • It's gross motor skills. Fine motor is more like writing, drawing, needlepoints, etc...I wouldn't even say the buttons are fine motor because then he can say that sitting on the couch watching TV, pushing those remote buttons is developing his fine motor skills.
