  • It might not be cramps, it might be round ligaments and pelvic pain it feels a lot like cramps, It can also be braxton hicks contractions since you are much larger than normal. I would however call your doctor either the on call after hours or regular hours they will know for sure.

  • be sure to discuss this with your dr. cramps could be ligaments stretching. have you read the book, expecting twins triplets quads and more? it is a book put out by a dr. that worked in a multiples clinic. the clinic was known for its full term multiples, and "high" birth weight multiples. the book says you should eat 4000 calories a day when carrying twins, that preemies are from malnourishment of the mother. are you dirnking 3 liters of water? are you taking it easy? your body had to build out bones, organd and tissue for two, not just one. this can be a burden on the body. if you are experiencing contractions, then you really need to pay close attention! you don't want your babies yet! keep them in as long as possible! if they are contractions, then you need to sit down and drink water. i was 6 mos along when we realized we were having twins. by 7 mos, i was really limiting my number of trips up and down the stairs.

  • i think it was about 7 months when my dh started doing the grocery shopping as well. basically, i really restricted physical activity. by 8 months i couldn't stand for 10 minutes without having a contraction, so dh started doing a lot of cooking and cleaning at this point too.
he really got a taste of what it takes to run a household! heehee! he needed it too!
good luck to you and your twins, they are a lot of hard work, and keeping them in as long as possible should be your first goal...this means hubby shouldn't argue with you too! good luck w/ that one!
the twins are hard work, but lots of fun too!
    is this your first pregnancy?
