  • over the shoulder, or lay him on his tummy across your lap.

its the pressure on the belly and the patting on the back that helps to get those air bubbles out.

  • i was going to say lay him on your lap and pat him like PP said. I used to lay my son over my hand. maybe pat a tad harder, maybe your not quite patting hard enough to get that bubble out :)

  • keep him moving, and a good solid pat not just a little tap. my youngest would only burp for a good that doesnt sound good. lol but once we got her going she'd out belch a room.

  • He has gas because the burps aren't getting out. When you have him sitting on you holding his head, move his little body around - hold him up straighter, hunch him over a little, move him how you like to stretch - it'll help work the burps out. With one of my babies I couldn't burp them, but by moving their body they burped.

  • Place baby on arm w/ head in palm and body against the arm, hold head upright and pat back. I hope you can get a visual for this. This is how I have kept my 5 babies happy ;-)

  • i have to change postions a few times to get my little guy to burp. sometimes he burps on his own now that he's a little bigger.

  • sit him up in your lap turned sideways either facing your left or right depending on what hand you use to burp. Lean him over slightly and pat his back. It worked every time for my boys.
