Just curious.

How long was your labor? Im expecting my first in about two weeks. I know every pregnancy is different but I was just curious how long some of your labors were.

  • both of my labors were so quick. with my first my water broke, but no contractions. they gave me pitocin, and had baby within 2 hours. and with my second they induced by breaking my water, again no contractions. so i was given pitpocin and had baby within an hour. i went natural both times. and it wasnt hard at all. lucky i guess. good luck to you.

  • With both my boys I had 7 1/2 hour labors, that's from the time I recognized that I was in labor until baby was born.

  • i am not sure exactly when my labors started, but hard labor... 1st pregnancy, 1 hour, 2nd pregnancy 1hr, third pregnancy...nothing hard about #1 twin, but #2 was 1 hour.
    good luck with your birth!
(IMO, if you walk through your labor, i think it is easier)

  • about 7 hours. active labor for me was only a little over an hour. water broke at 230a and i had my son at 344a.
i didn't have an epi and my labor started spontaneously along w/ my water break spontaneously. i stayed at home as long as i could. i wanted to be able to move around and be in whatever position felt right for me, and the hospital just doesn't give you that freedom.

  • only 45 minutes of actual pushing labor. I had contractions less than a minute apart for 4 hours.
