Does she have any meds she is supposed to be taking? How much higher are her levels than normal? What has she eaten, if anything? Write the answers to those questions down and have them ready when you call her doctor, because if her levels are high and not going down, her doctor needs to know. In the meantime, she needs to drink water, avoid anything that will raise her blood sugar- high carbs, fruit or fruit juices, move around, and keep an eye on how she feels. Nausea, headache, blurry vision, slurred speech, clammy skin, or the shakes are all things to go to the doctor asap for when you are diabetic.
