UGH My 9 month old looks like she has 2 black eyes

She wont sleep!
She has only been doing 30 min - 1 hours sleep intervals every 6 - 7 hours.
Sometimes she even just sleeps 15 mins. This has been going on for a week now. Her eyes actually have circles that are so dark and reddish you would think she had got sucker punched.
Ijust dont knwo what to do.
Nothing has changed ( yet, we are moving but havent yet)
She is teething yes but it did not mess her sleep up last time.
She is dry she is not hungry
she is 100% perfectly fine
So why is she doing this? What can I do?

  • I think you need a new doctor if they said this type of sleep pattern is normal. Normal would be a baby sleeping from 8 at night til 6 in the morning, then refusing to sleep til 10 and waking up at six. That's normal. Naps that usually lasted 3 hours are now two..again normal as they are older and don't need much rest as they grow up.

  • Call the doctor. I would have called a few days ago.

  • I would call your pediatrician and see if you should take her to the ER. (she will probably be fine til an office visit monday) but call and let the dr. know what you just described here. She shouldn't have those dark circles under her eyes. Those usually mean a) dehydration or b) allergy
Call doc immediately. that's what i'd do anyway...especially with her crazy sleep schedule. Maybe she has some type of insomnia.

  • The dark circles may be a sign of a food allergy or sensitivity. Have you introduced allergy trigger foods, like wheat, dairy, soy or egg white?
