How much taxes do i get back for my Child??

I was wondering how much money i will get back since i have had a child now..i have heard many different things and i just wanted to know how much it actually if anyone knows let me know...i would like people in florida cause that is where i live..Thanks!

  • There is NO WAY to tell. You may owe something. Noone can give you that answer with any certainty . either just wait to file or call the IRS

  • It really depends on your income. A child will reduce your taxable income, it can add a $1000 tax credit and can benefit you if you are very low income and qualify for the Earned Income Credit or EIC. A child does not equate to an exact dollar refund.

  • You get a reduction in your taxable income, thus reducing your tax burden; you do not get a direct reduction in your taxes.

  • Seriously? File a damn tax return and find out. Turbo tax has a free federal edition if that helps, or H & R block is a pay one.......
