  • I was reading up on ttc and the new studies that they have done. You are more likely to get pregnant if you have sex everyday. they said it lowers the sperm count yes but more people have been successful conceiving having sex everyday rather than every other. because once you ovulate you have a 24 hour window to fertilize that egg they say for two weeks before you ovulate if you have sex every day your chance is greater than every other day. because sperm lives 72 hours in your body and it only takes one and a little bit of sperm gets up there everytime. That's just what I've heard and what my doctor told me. However some people are different and their bodies are different so it all depends really.

  • Yes, going longer between ejaculation will increase the sperm count. HOWEVER, after three days the quality of the sperm present isn't as good. Do you know when you're ovulating through charting? Otherwise, you may be trying to have sex on the wrong days. If you don't want to get into all the details of charting, simply check your cervical fluid. Do it before you pee throughout the day. When it looks like raw eggwhite and is stretchy then you are about to ovulate and you are at your most fertile. This is a wonderful picture of what it will look like. http://www.tryingtoconceive.com/ewcm5.jpg
