What do you feed your baby for breakfast?

My one year old is sick of canned baby food. He loves finger foods, but still has a problem mashing them up enough to not choke all the time. He eats scrambled eggs and cherrios, but whatelse is nutritious and easy for him to eat? ( and wont take me an hour to prep?)

  • My son eats whole wheat frozen waffles with yogurt on them, cut up bananas or some other fruit and a cup of juice (mostly water, a little apple juice for flavoring).

He is 18 months and has been eating this for a while.
When he was younger I gave him french toast sticks and he loved them, I haven't given him those in a while... maybe I should go back! Haha!

  • She loves fresh fruit (grapes, bananas, strawberries) and yogurt. She also eats cereal, waffles, french toast, pancakes, and muffins. This morning she ate fried eggs and cheese grits, and she ate every last bite.

  • Cut up fruit with a scrambled egg is what mine ate. You can also feed oatmeal, cream of wheat, rice crispies cereal, shredded cheese, or yogurt.

My DD also started eating Nutrigrain fruit filled cereal bars at around a year old.

  • Mine also loves scrambled eggs and pancakes. This morning was an easy morning and she had a whole banana, about 10 grapes cut in half and a slice of whole grain bread with butter. If he is choking on everything, you may want to bring that up with your doctor. He is too old for baby food.
