Will the cops do anything?

SO's sister is a drug addict. She moved home from Baltimore in Nov & since then has been stealing from their mother. SO had left his electric guitar & amp at his mom's, 'cause we have no room in our teeny apartment. Yesterday we went over to visit with his mom..Devin walked into the laundry room & his guitar & equipment is gone. His mother has told us all of her gold started missing a week before & money has been constantly missing. He wants to call the cops - will they do anything without any concrete proof?

  • Yes, the police will investigate theft. You can press charges but your mother is going to have to get in the middle of it and say she agreed to let you store it there and yes her own daughter stole it.
