  • No, I don't think so. The majority of the time our local grocery store has boneless skinless breasts for 1.68/lb. A couple of weeks ago, they had a sale for $0.49/lb, so we bought 20lbs.

  • That's a lot more than a bag of dried bean or lentils, or a pound of tofu

  • You need to figure out the price per pound. Breasts greatly vary in size. Prices range from $1.99-$4.89/lb, sometimes more for organic.

  • WOW bridget that is awesome i want a .49 cent sale!

I bought a bunch of 3 pound bags for 5.99 the other day and it averages 9-12 pieces in the bag.

I think 3.70 depending on where you live could be a good deal, compare other prices at local stores. check ads to see whatthe norm is. You could even ask your butcher they are typically honest about good deals and will tell you when one is coming up.

  • I think it depends on what brand of chicken you buy. If you buy the good organic kind, it's like $4.00 for 3. But, if you buy Tyson or something on sale, its like $2.50. We just always buy the bag of frozen chicken for $6.99 and we usually get about 7 pieces of chicken in the bag.

  • I have no clue. I buy a 3# bag of frozen chicken breasts for $6.99 a bag. There's 5 or 6 chicken breasts in each package.
