EASY CHEAP MEAL IDEAS.

JUST GOT STATIONED AT TRAVIS AFB THIS IS OUR FIST DAY HERE AND WERE STAYING AND TEMPORARY LODGING..I NEED SOME EASY MEAL IDEALS..MAKING A LIST AND DONT WANNA FORGET ANYTHING ALSO. HELP! THANKS LADIES!

  • MAC N CHEESE TUNA CASSEROLE ....BOX OF MAC N CHEESE ,CAN OF TUNA ,CAN OF CREAM OF (CHICKEN,MUSHROOM CELERY WHATEVER ONE YOU LIKE )! COOK MAN N CHEESE ADD TUNA CAN OF CREAM AND A CUP OF MILK(IN PAN ) PUT IN THE OVEN FOR 20 ,IM AT 350 !

  • Quesadillas.
    Boneless, Skinless Chicken.
    Refried Beans
    Shredded Cheese
    Flour Tortillas.
    Butter (Optional) -- Thoroughly cook chicken and cut into bite size pieces. Take one tortilla spread desired amount of refriend beans on half, toped with desired amount of shredded cheese, and cubed chicken. Fold opposite half of tortilla ontop of ingredients. Cook on George Foreman grill, stove top skillet or fry pan until tortilla is browned and cheese is melted. Cut and serve.

    Tuna Casarole
    Tuna
    Cream of Chicken (or Cream of Mushroom) soup
    Bread crumbs (or crumbled potato chips, or Crumbled Crackers)
    Egg Noodles -- Cook noodles until softened. Mix Cream of Chicken soup and tuna together. In a oven safe casarole dish mix Noodles and Tuna mixture together. Sprinkle bread crumbs ontop (Helps keep from over cooking top of casarole) Bake at 300 for 30 minutes.

  • Pot Roast.
    Chuck Pot Roast (Make sure it's marbled with fat) 3lb
    Small red potatoes
    Carrots
    Sloppy Joe Sauce (Tomato sauce or Cream of Mushroom soup works too)
    Quarter potatoes, cut carrots. Pour half of a 10 oz can of sauce into bottom of a crock pot. Put veggies ontop. Put in thawed pot roast and pour the remaining sauce ontop spoon over the entire roast. Cook on high for five hours.

    Birdsnest
    Potatoes (Idaho or Golden)
    Ground Hamburger
    Gravy (brown or Roasted Turkey by Hines)
    Corn
    Peas -- Quarter/cube potatoes and boil them for approx. 20 minutes or until soft. Add desired amount of milk and a table spoon of buter and mash until desired consistancy. (More milk, the creamier the mashed potatoes will be) - Brown hamburger and drain off extra grease. Warm gravy in sauce pan. Cook Corn and Peas. Pile hamburger, veggies, and gravy ontop of mashed potatoes and serve. (Everyone can make their own style nest)

  • King ranch chicken
    mix cream of mushroom or chicken soup with a can of milk (no need to heat)
    layer flour tortillas add shredded chicken, soup mix, cheddar cheese. Continue adding layers using cheese last. Leave in a 350 oven for about 20 minutes.

  • Chicken, Stuffing, and Veggies
    Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast.
    Boxed Stuffing Mix.
    Veggies (Any you like) -- Brown Chicken with desired seasonings. Cook Stuffing according to directions. And steam or boil veggies to desired texture. And Serve.

    Rice, Chicken, and Veggie Stir Fry
    Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
    Brown Rice
    Broccoli, Corn, Green Beans, and Peas - Cube thawed chicken and brown in skillet. In a sauce pan brown rice with a teaspoon of butter, then cook rice according to directions on package. In a large wok or skillet mix together chicken, cooked rice, and veggies. Cook on medium heat until everything is cooked through and veggies are soft. Adding desired seasonings or sauces.

  • Taco Salad
    Iceburg Lettuce
    Tortilla Chips
    Refried Beans
    Sour Cream
    Salsa (Optional)
    Hamburger
    Taco Seasoning.
    Cheese.

    Brown Hamburger and add Taco Seasoning. Along with any other desired seasonings. Drain.
    Warm Refried Beans in sauce pan. Do not overcook.
    Pile tortilla chips, lettuce, hamburger, refried beans, sour cream, Cheese, and salasa in a bowl.

    Warmed refried beans with melted cheese ontop is a GREAT dip for tortilla chips. Add sour cream and salsa if desired.
