curious about sleepovers

Another ? made me think about this.
What age do kids normally start having sleepover parties? I have had 1 friend spend the night before , but we havent had a sleepover party with several kids.
My son is 6 1/2.

  • Whenever you feel like you are ready. I personally am dreading having to do sleep over parties, but answer your question, I think your son is old enough.

  • My daughters started having sleepovers when she was 7.  My daughter would have about 10 kids sleepover we would do crafts, order pizza, watch movies, play games.  I would have parents pick up their girls by 10:am after a banana pancake breakfast I am famous for making.  I knew all these girls from my daughters school, I had all the parents phone numbers.  Girls brought their own sleeping bags and pillows.

  • my oldest went to a friends for a sleepover last year - she was 8. but we haven't had the chance to have anyone over here.

    we're having a slumber party for her birthday this year too....its freaking me out a teeny bit.

    I never really did growing up so its new to me.
