how soon?

after your c section did u start lifting again.. My hubby has to go back to work and i had a c section 3 weeks ago and i need to life my 26pound toddler and i have now help.. What would u do? Thanks

  • You'll rupture your incision if you lift too soon and I was told 6 - 8 weeks. Find ways to work with your older child without having to lift. Most kids that age LOVE climbing stuff...get a couple little plastic steps and save yourself a world of hurt.

  • I was advised to wait 4-6 weeks. Luckily for me, I did not have other children at home. Just be careful because you are still healing! I would try to get some help if you can and if not, just try not to lift your toddler. He/she should be able to get around themselves pretty well by now and shouldn't need much lifting at all.
