My son is five weeks old on wednesday and is already drooling. Could he be teething?

  • He could be in very early stages, but most babies at that age drool a ton.

  • My dd was a big drooler before she ever started teething. Your son could be the same way. Watch out for drool rash though! DD had drool rash and it's easy to get rid of and doesn't hurt the baby but I'm sure they'd rather not deal with it. Make sure you keep his face as dry as possible and if he soaks his shirt, change it.

  • My dd was drooling as soon as she was born! She still is and she is now 4 going on 5 months in 1 week! Still not a single tooth!!
