Nail Caps for cats

has anyone ever used nail caps on their cat--so they dont claw the furniture?

  • Yes. I loved them. The only down side was how often they had to be replaced.

  • Yes, I have and they are great. But you need to keep track of them because sometimes they do not pop off like they are supposed to and will grow into the pad if left on.

  • Instead of using them, you can actually clip your cats claws just like a dogs nails. Just be careful how far back you are cutting. This usually takes 2 people though. Have one person hold the cat down by the scruff of the neck and the other person clip the nails. Most grooming facilities will also trim nails.. usually free of charge.

  • Yes, they're horrid. They were great at first. However, as your cat's claws start to grow out they will snag on just about anything. My cat had her claws stuck in everything. We wad to wait for her nails to grow out far enough to cut them off. She busted one right at the quick and bled a bit.
