Why does my five month old baby have a constant runny/stuffy nose?

My baby boy has a constant stuffy nose. I had originally thought he was catching all the winter colds...but after five months I realize is rarely without this "cold". It clears up for a week at most, and then it comes back. Has anyone else experienced this?

  • Maybe he has an allergy to something. Do others in your family have allergy issues?

  • Some milk allergies in my family...but I tried taking this out of my diet (as I am a breastfeeding mother) and no luck :( Same with wheat. Maybe I was not consistent enough and should try again?

  • how long did you go without dairy and gluten? i have heard it can take up to 3 mos to get gluten out of your system. still, it could be the winter...do you have a humidifier?
you could try a chiropractor too!

  • It is probably air born allergies, not food allergies.
