How old was your baby when you started feeding them table food?

  • You start them with tastings of table food when you feel that they are ready. When they can pick things up and put them in their mouth it is a good time to start finger foods (table food). Just do what comes naturally.

  • i started feeding my dd 4 weeks ago she is almost 11 months she is eating 80% table food now only at breakfast is baby food

  • Oatmeal and cream of wheat ab 6 months...and we kinda went from there...by 10 months he was on mostly table food and now at 1 we havent bought table food in awhile!! Its so nice to be able to give him things we eat!

  • 7 months. He eats grilled cheese, cooked pasta, cheerios, toast, chunks of fruit, cheese...cooked veggies....he's doing fine.

  • Neither of my boys ever had pureed food, so they started table food when they started solids. Both between 7-8 months.

  • Six months. We just mashed or pureed what ever vegetables or fruits we were eating.

  • 6 months - - mashed and pureed fruits and veggies with a 3-4 day wait in between each one. Both kids LOVED solid food and ate much more of it than I anticipated - - but I always nursed first and fed solids second to make sure they still got everything nutritionally that they needed. I used cereal with my first, only to find that it had zero nutrition. We skipped it after that.
