  • It depends on a lot of things! If your child has a bigger head it will take him longer to sit up, if he isn't coordinated, I wouldn't worry, etc. and always remember every child is differnet! If you're seriously concerned, talk to his pedi next time you go in.

  • He is almost 7 months old. For two months now he has been able to get on all fours and rock, but still does not crawl or sit. He can roll both ways. His head control is great. Maybe he is just lazy? Idk :(

  • Well my 8 month old can sit up (although she still falls over a lot) but she can't get on all fours and rock...when I try to get her to crawl she kind of pushes herself backwards.....I am not worried, all my friends kids reached these milestones at very different times. My friend's daughter didn't walk until 16 months!

  • Your baby should start to sit up within the next month or so (by eight months). Crawling is not a milestone; some babies never crawl.

  • www.touchpoints.org is a good reference. You really should have the book, or another on child developement, in your home.
