  • Holy cow, my DD ate EVERYTHING we did at 16 months. She really is a good eater, though. Literally, I can't think of anything (besides green beans) that my DD doesn't eat. Does he have a pretty full set of teeth?

  • He only has 4 teeth

  • My grandson is 16 mo. He never ate baby food. He too eats everything. He eats meals and all day. He has molars and loves meat - beef, chicken, turkey, pork. He likes veggies, fruits, pasta, whole grain bagels. He loves going to buffets. He is a skinny guy so he needs to eat a lot. He is always on the go and burns up all the calories.

  • Only having 4 teeth makes a big difference, though. I would suggest softer foods, and small pieces, but he can still eat "grown up" food.

  • My 15 month everything, and he doesn't have molars yet. Fill a small bowl with pasta and some veggies and that sould be enough... I know some hit the floor. Than there should be enough room for dessert. Baby should be picking up food on his own and trying to use a fork by 16 months. My Dr. said by 18th months no more baby food...

  • My 14 month old has 6 teeth, and we switched him to table food at 8 months. He usually eats cheerios or kix plus some fresh fruit for breakfast (because I'm busy getting older ones ready for school), for lunch today we had cheese cubes and some crackers, baked sweet potato, and some sliced grapes; for supper tonight we are having cheese ravioli with a salad (he doesn't like lettuce, so he'll have just tomatoes and cucumbers). He also generally has a morning snack and an afternoon snack - this morning he had some lightly steamed carrots w/ranch and I'm not sure about afternoon, we're just getting ready to go eat it!

  • Mine just got her first molars but she went off baby food at about 8 months... she has her preferences, but I can't think of a whole category of food she won't eat... she gets most of her veggies through things like veggie lasagna, veggie and cheese quesadillas, mac n' cheese with tons of broccoli mixed in, or omelettes with more spinach than egg, although she will shovel in peas (we get them frozen)... but just recently we reintroduced the pureed veggies because she's so in to spoon feeding herself that she'll down one in a sitting just for the pleasure of feeding it to herself. You may take advantage of the "fun" aspects of eating at this stage... trying new things that are different may be fun for your little one...

  • Let me rephrase my question. He eats what we eat, just not alot. Only a few bites, so I still give him the gerber veggies, so I know he is getting what he needs. How much do your kids eat? a few bites, a plate full. Thanks for all the wonderful answers.
