  • be patient she'll get it.. I have an almost 3 yr old who doesn't do either.. I have two diff friends who have a almost 3 yr old & they don't poo on the potty either.. just be consistent.. make a sticker chart & when she goes give her a sticker, maybe have some small toys ready for when she poos. until then just know your not alone.

  • Keep a record of the times of day she usually poops. Stay home for a couple of days if you can, crank up the heat, and put her in her undies and a sweatshirt, but no pants. By now you've probably noticed her pooping "habits" -- maybe she goes and stands in a certain place, goes under a table? or gets a certain look on her face? When it's a time of day she's likely to poop, just watch her closely. Wait for her to start... and rush her off the the potty, get her pants down, and let her finish there. This is instead of having her sit and sit with the objective being, "sit till you poop." If she ends up getting some in the potty, go wild with excitement. She'll learn that nothing bad comes of having her poop go into the potty. After awhile you may be able to have her go potty around her usual poop time with some distractions (like a coloring book or silly putty or something of yours she isn't usually allowed to hold)...
