  • My baby actually has done it now and then since he was like 8 weeks old maybe? I can't remember the first time. He's even gone 8.5 hours a couple times. Unfortunately, that's rare, and he hardly ever sleeps longer than 4.5 hours now at 4 months old.

  • After the first day he was born I would 2 or 3 weeks.

  • OP here...
Did the sleep time gradually build or did he/she go from 2-3 hours a night to 6 all of a sudden? My almost 2 month old sleeps about 3 hours at a time. She doesn't even seem close to 6. My other dd was sleeping through the night at 2 months.

  • well with my boys they slept 2 hours then at 3 months it was like 4 hours then at 6 months it was 6 hours. with my girl she has been sleeping 6 hours since 2 months old so i guess it depends on the kid

  • 6 weeks and from then until 1 month ago at 19 months now she thinks sleep ruins her play time.

  • Heh heh heh heh...sorry.

Not in year one. Occasionally in years two through the present (year ten), but generally he wakes up about four hours into the night, has his glass of water and goes back to sleep.

There are several reasons new moms should toss their clocks. The sleep issue is one of them.

Remember that every child is unique. What your other one did has no bearing on this one. Besides, the Mommy Contract specifically states you're not allowed long stretches of sleep any more. **grin**
