  • My Ped. said by dentist said as soon as the first tooth comes. FYI, a lot of non-pediatric dentists will not see a child until they are at least 5.

  • 4 or 5 I have been told. I have been following that with my children.

  • My kids had their first cleanings at 4. Before that they would go and the dentist would count their teeth and give them a toy. They are 11, 10 & 5 and generally LOVE going to the dentist. He's a family dentist, not a pediatric, but he's got that touch.

  • Mine first two i waited until they were 2 and had all there baby teeth in, they did x-rays and cleanings on them both. At our last visit they examined the baby too, just looked in his mouth basically and made sure everything appeared okay.
