  • 8600 a month take home my husband is going to be promoted soon so his pay will triple. We live very well actually put more than half his income into saving, investments and retirement. Our house is paid off so we really don't need a lot of live on.

  • Hubby brings home just under $500 a week and we're all (5 kids included) doing pretty good. We put away money in savings each week and all of our bills are current.

  • Income on its own is irrelevant. We also have mortgages, property taxes, utility bills, etc. We fund college and retirement savings. A $400,000 house in my area may cost $150,000 in yours.

  • I bring in about $3000 a month from my various home based endeavors. My Husband is a full time stay home dad, so he doesn't really earn anything besides a few dollars here and there doing odd jobs for my mom's business...

Around here an expensive house is only about $50K. In fact my mother was able to pay cash for her house, so although my income wouldn't be enough to bring dad home in NYC, it is more than enough here...

  • we make 1824 before taxes, we bring home 1520 or so to pay bills with. we don't scrape by bc we budget. i start school next week and he is the only one working for now. i might get a job later on part time or something but he told me to focus on school. in a couple of months at school i will be making money there bc they allow us to keep all our own tips (cosmetology school). and i will be getting a little back to help with living expenses from the pell grant. i also have the taxes that i just filed which will hopefully help us out if something comes up.

  • I make 9800 a month after taxes my husband makes 14,700 a month after taxes. Our mortgage, bills and other expenses are about 5k a month so we do pretty well. Where we live the cost of living is very low so you don't need too much to live well here.

  • We bring in about $1400 a month. We have money left over after all our expenses, but it really isn't more than $100- $200.
What sucks is when he misses a day :(
