Can anyone recommend some toys for the seat back so my 5 month old isn't staring at a boring back seat?

  • When our son was 9 months old we put a dvd player in the headrest facing backwards. He loves it, watches pbs shows and sings. he loves it and it saves your life on long car rides.

  • My son loved the plastic mirror. We would also clip some toys to his seat like a rattle ect. and that kept him entertained.

  • If you have this mirror to see him, then he can see lots of stuff.http://www.walmart.com/ip/SafeFit-Baby-In-Sight-Back-Seat-Mirror/4269003

I don't think you are supposed to "hang" toys or have the hard bar type that goes across the car seat while you are driving. It can cause injuries or even death in the event of an accident. Soft toys that clip to the car seat can keep them busy, like these animal toys. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Infantino-Plush-Jungle-Friends/8065553
