how can i break the habit of my daughter going to bed at 12pm- 1am every night??

shes 1, & i get off work at 9pm shes with dad during that time, i admit i have a late schedule, but i wouldnt if she would go to bed @ a decent time, so how do i break this habit?

  • i had the same problem. i cuther nap and that helped alot. now she isbed by 10. sheis 3 yrs old

  • she only has one nap in the day time for about 30-50 min.

  • make sure she has her nap earlier in the day, and wake her up earlier int he morning by likr an hour.

  • Well, here's a question. Is she getting enough sleep? Because if your whole family is a family of night owls due to job schedules, and your baby is doing fine on this schedule, there's really no need to change it. It's working for you guys, and you get to see her in the evening. Just something to consider.

  • i would wake her up an hour to 2 hours before she should normally wake up that way she will get tired alot easier from let sleep and will be willing to go to bed earlier

  • If she has a set bedtime routine, just start cutting that back by 10 or 15 minutes per week. until you get her where you want her. Doing things gradually like that often works well. If she doesn't have a set routine, start one then move it back by 10 or 15 minutes per week.
