Is this the REAL reason we are in Haiti? I doubt it since Obama is in office but

if this happened when bushy boy was in there, you know this would be the reason behind it.

  • When has the U.S. done anything just for "kindness" and never expected anything in return? There is a bigger reason behind the acts of "kindness" than many are willing to believe.

WWI WWII just for a start.

  • I'm about 100% positive it has to do with the massive earthquake and the immigration crisis that will occur because of their proximity to us if they aren't rebuilt.

  • Yep. Obama caused the earthquake for oil. Invading a country on the premises of "we have to attack them there so they don't attack us here" did not seem to work anymore. While he was on his way to get his favorite mustard hamburger with arugula, he waved that magic wand and Ba-da-bing--an earthquake!!!!

Yep, when the truth is too complicated and the reality too ugly, just pretend you don't understand it and make a lame joke. Our government-based response to Haiti is excessive. We could have sent Red Cross volunteers and $20 million, and nobody would've said boo about it. Had this been an earthquake further from our shores in a less "useful" area, that's all we would have done. We NEVER do things without an ulterior motive. That's been true as long as we've had a foreign policy over 200 years ago, and it doesn't change, no matter what party is in control that week. It was true in Cuba, Panama, Philippines, Europe, Asia, take your pick.

  • Anon, didn't you hear? We have a weather causing machine and we are testing it!

"A "tectonic weapon" launched by the U.S. Navy was capable of triggering a powerful earthquake off the coast of Haiti. Chavez told the newspaper that this time it was only a test and the ultimate target is Iran" Hugo Chavez

President Chavez said the US was "playing God" by testing devices capable of creating eco-type catastrophes"

    LMAO

  • That's it. Obama caused the earthquake, Bush caused the hurricanes and tsunami. I swear people will believe anything.

NP - I'm sorry, but until the above statement, I have pretty much agreed with you. That is just stupid. The US has ALWAYS been one of the first to help out any country in need. No strings attached.
