  • if she shows signs of being tired throughout the day like rubbing her eyes, yawning, or even being extremely fussy then i would suggest an afternoon nap. it doesn't have to be a long nap just a half an hour power nap works. so just see how she does throughout the day. then decide. good luck

  • My 2yr old won't nap anymore. It's been this way since she was 20 mos and she sleeps roughly 10 hrs at night. She does do quiet time and will "read" for a short while (15 mins - 2 hours)

  • At two I believe they need 11 to 12 hrs a day but I dont know if that inculdes a nap or with out. My son just turned three and I have always made sure he gets close to 11 hrs at night and then he has always taken naps any where from an hr and a half to three hours a day.

  • My son gets about 12 hrs of sleep per day. If he naps, he'll take about an hour nap and may sleep a bit less at night. I believe this is about average for this age. (He'll be 3 in April)

  • My daughter gave up naps at around 22 months. She sleeps from 7:00pm to 8:00am every night.

  • Soon after two my daughter had a major spell of fighting naps or avoiding them... luckily I insisted we keep the tradition going and soon enough she was right back to having them again... She was not a super long night sleeper, though. I think she would get an average of 11.5 in 24 -- a 10 hour night and a 2 hour nap -- but sometimes the nap didn't happen or the night was shorter (she was an early riser. Now she's nearly 3 and she takes a nap (2-3 hours) about 3 times a week, otherwise goes without, but night is usually around 10 hours regardless.
