Diaphragm

I am considering getting a diaphragm after my son is born. How long after you give birth do you have to wait to get fitted for a diaphragm? Are they uncomfortable during sex? Easy to use? Thanks!

  • It can be done at your six week appt. If you gain 10lbs or loss 10lbs or more or less. You need to get refitted. I love mine I can't feel a thing neither can my hubby.

  • I would imagine it could be done at your six weeks checkup. I wouldn't want it done before I was healed up.

  • I considered one at one time, but didn't like the thought of having to put it in before I had sex and take it out after - too much worry for me. I'm into spontaneity.

  • I waited three months to get fitted; I was paranoid...

I have been using one for most of the last twenty years. Be sure to check regularly for holes...
