i wonder if babies understand eachother??

i see lots of babies interact with each other and it just amazes me that they look at each other babble to each other. i have even seen a 13mnth old say some babble then the 18mnth old bring the younger baby a toy. it was just the darndest sight. so i wonder if babies can actually understand each other and i wonder what they "talk" about???? for all i know they talk crap about there mommies :(

  • I don't know if they understand each other but when my daughter comes home from a play date with my friends daughter, she has a new high-pitched squeal.

  • I've often wondered the same thing. I think on some level they must. I always think back to the movie "Look Who's Talking". I love that movie and it's sequels!

  • My twins definitely understand eachother...and I'm pretty sure the other babies at daycare understand them too.... I bet they talk about how long they sat in their poopy diapers before Mommy noticed and how they trick Mommy into giving them snuggle time when it's bedtime

  • Watch the movie "Baby Geniuses" and then you'll know.
