"Carpeting" question: Shag carpeting, short and soft carpeting, an "area rug", or completely bare floor?

  • I'm all about the "hardwood floors", myself. Even though on occasion I've been known to have a small "area rug" too. But mostly, I want it all gone.

  • I prefer wood floors. They are easy to keep clean and don't trap allergens.

  • We have hardwood floors, but we have a 5'x8' area rug and two runners in the hallway =)
