Did anyone else "lose" centimeters on their fundal height measurement??

Am I crazy, or what?? I'm 34 weeks pregnant and 2 weeks ago I was measuring at 33 centimeters. I had my appointment yesterday and I lost 3 centimeters. How does that happen? Did my baby drop or change position? I measured myself when I got home and got the same. My midwife scheduled an ultrasound to check baby's growth. I half want a second opinion, but half think I should just do it to be safe. What do ya'll think??

  • I think that all the measurements do is make us worry. Different women measure differently based on on their torso length and the position of the baby.

  • as you get closer to deliver yes your belly will change shape.

    as I got closer and babies (only the first two dropped) moved down shirts fit much different and pants barely made it over my butt. lol

  • Its not unusual at all, the baby could have changed positions or dropped. Those measurements are not exact to begin with, after measuring up to 6 weeks ahead during both my pregnancies i stopped taking them seriously.
