Bin Laden blasts US for climate change?

CAIRO – Osama bin Laden sought to draw a wider public into his fight against the United States in a new message Friday, dropping his usual talk of religion and holy war and focusing instead on an unexpected topic: global warming.

The al-Qaida leader blamed the United States and other industrialized nations for climate change and said the only way to prevent disaster was to break the American economy, calling on the world to boycott U.S. goods and stop using the dollar.

Agree? Disagree?

  • 1) bin Laden wants the U.S. to collapse.
    2) He has used rhetoric and actions of various types to fulfill this agenda
    3) If the cap & trade legislation were to pass, it would devastate businesses, cripple our economy, cause even more unemployment and hardship (look what it has done to European countries)
    4) So, why on earth would NOT bin Laden advocate for them to pass it?

    5) This does raise a VERY interesting connection: Americans continuing to advocate FOR this destructive legislation are revealed for what they are ... AGAINST America's well-being !!

  • Obviously disagree with anything he says. Some of us Americans like to point the finger at China for all the pollution they produce, but we don't scream out, "Death to China!"

  • To Mr. Bin Laden:

Even if we all lived in caves like you, climate change would still happen.

  • Good points, waldorf! Esp. #5!

I would like to point out that UBL seems to have taken to our Constitution quite well. He is an advocate of at least the first and second amendents!
