Is it safe to sleep on my back? I'm 27 weeks preg.

  • it depends. i was told not to because my placenta was in the back of the belly so if i lied on my back i would suffocate the baby. so i would ask the doc first unless you know where yours is.

  • Nope, puts too much weight on the circulatory system going to the uterus. After 20 weeks, you then have to start sleeping on your side, the left preferably.

  • they say to lay on your left side... but i never made sure that i did. you could double check with your doctor, but i would lay flat on my back all the time, and my babies are fine. as long as you are comfortable... then baby probably is too.
