Where can I find old magazines for cheap?

I am a preschool teacher and I am constantly needing old magazines to cut out pictures for art projects, pictures for examples, etc. Parenting and children's magazines work the best for what I am needing. Where can I find them for cheap? I asked at a doctor's office but by the time they are finished with them, they are too worn out and torn up for what I am needing them for.

  • Thrift stores. They might sell you a whole bundle of them for a buck. Just call and see. They are not big sellers so they would be glad to get rid of them. Since you are a teacher they may donate them to you.

  • I would ask the local public library. Ours puts out stacks of old ones that are free for taking.

  • I would try the local hospital, library, or maybe sending a note home with the kids requesting magazines from the parents. I send alot of my old magazines to school with my son, or drop them off a the local hospital. Good luck!
