sore throat

hi ladies so i have a terrible sore throat, im about 5 weeks pregnant i go to the ob on tuesday to confim....and hopefully going to the reg dr tomorrow if i can get an appointment in the mean time what can do it hurts so bad i took tylenol but that only lasts so long any help would be great thanks

  • Tylonal does nothing for a sore throat, if even dull the pain. What you need to do, as gross as it is, is gargle salt water. Warm water and salt is the best you can do for a sore throat. Drinking water will help keep it moisterized as well, which will help keep the pain down.

  • Eating something cold like popcicles (sp) or ice cream can make it feel better for a little while.

  • orange juice helps me, so does sucking a lemon and gargle with warm salty water.

  • may a syrup with honey (anti-bacterial and soothing) and cayenny pepper (anti-inflammatory). Also great for a cough
