  • weight check, blood pressure, temp, lungs listen, urine check for protein sugar. weight advice and info on future appointments and about childbirth itself reminder about prenatal vitamins, maybe abdomen measurement. Maybe an ultrasound directive at some time.

    Congratulations!!! SOOOO Exciting!!!!!!!!!

  • They will probably have you pee in a cup, weigh you and ask if you've had any morning sickness. They will take your blood pressure and ask if you are drinking enough water and eating enough protein, taking your vitamins, etc. Most appointments were pretty short, just basic stuff each time, asking if I had any symptoms I was worried about. Depending on how far along you think you are, they might do an ultrasound to confirm your due date or check for a heartbeat.

  • varies from provider to provider. at my first appt i didn't have a blood test or a pee test, but then i did those at my 2nd appt. some providers go crazy and give ultrasounds every other day, so that's also a possibility but hopefully not. i usually just take a list of questions about my pregnancy and birth to every appt, ask those, my midwife asks me a few questions about how i've been feeling, feels around on my belly, and listens to the heartbeat (but if you are less that 16 weeks that might not be possible yet)
