Snack or not?

Do you always give your lo a small snack before bedtime? I usually do but he had a very large dinner at 6 tonight. It is now close to 10. My son didn't act hungry at all so didn't even think to offer him one. What do you do? (13 months old)

  • we eat dinner at 6 as well. My daughter is now 2, but for over a year now we have a ritual of a cookie and some milk as she watches wubbzy, then teeth brushing, diaper change, then bed. It works for us. Some nights if we have eaten late for some reason we usually skip the snack. But, for us it has just become part of the bedtime routine.

  • No, never. We don't do many snack in general though in our home... we often times have a snack between lunch and dinner at some point.... around 4ish... but other than that no snacks.

  • We never gave our daughter snacks after dinner, except for breastmilk

  • Nope, we don't generally give snacks after dinner. Dinner is around 5:30 or 6:00 and the baby (almost 13 months) goes down for bed around 7:30

  • My son is 14 months. We eat supper at 5:30, he gets a cup of milk just before bedtime at 7 (yes, we brush his teeth after)
