Is it possible for perfume to go bad?

I have some perfume that I bought from DEB shops around this time last year. I went to put some on this weekend and it didnt smell like it should, almost smelled like medicine mixed with alcohol. Is it possible for perfume to go bad, especially cheap store brand stuff?

  • Oh, definitely!!! Even the GOOD stuff can get that sour alcohol mediciney smell after over a year! If you haven't used all your perfume in a year, I think a rule of thumb is to ditch it and replace it...perhaps with a smaller bottle.
