Whenever my 6 month old is sitting in my lap he rocks back and forth..

is this "normal"?

  • It's soothing to him, and he's working those muscles. Yes it is normal, if you're concerned about something else, I highly doubt it. Are you playing music while sitting with him? My daughter started "dancing" at around that age.

  • normal for that age. they are still strenghening back muscles. He can also be used to you rocking with you, and he likes the motion.
