is this a period, spotting, or implantation?

I got my Mirena IUD out Jan 7th, started my NuvaRing that day. Dr said wait a week to have sex or use a condom, we did neither and had sex Jan 10th. i took my ring out Monday Jan 25(3days shy of 3 weeks) because i thought was pregnant. then Friday night i go to the bathroom and theres bright red blood, i put a pad on and come out here.only a little dribbled out on to the pad and i went to the bathroom one more time and blood on the tp(none in the toilet this time tho) then i wake up this morning Saturday and there was a little brown blood when i wiped (i mean little, like u wouldn't have noticed had i not had sat and studied it) no blood all day, nothing! Sunday i wake up a little bright red blood on my pad then no more bleeding. Now its monday and still no more bleeding. Was this a period, spotting, implantation or what?!

  • You took your NuvaRing out mid-cycle. That means your body is no longer getting the hormone. You got your period. Now, you need to go put another one in. If you still think you might be prenant, take a test. If it's negative, put another ring in. If you suspect pregnancy again, test before removing the ring. You're more likely to get pregnant if you're not going the full 3 weeks with it in.

  • You removed the ring mid-cycle. Your uterus didn't have a chance to build up a full lining before the hormone change caused it to expell what it had. If you at any time suspect you might be pregnant, take a test. It's not something that can be diagnosed via internet. The hormones in BC won't affect the outcome of an HPT.
