Why do conservatives want it both ways?

They want less government interference, smaller government, etc but they also are unhappy if Obama doesn't do whatever they want him to! They want gay marriage to remain illegal and most want abortion to be illegal. These would be regulated by the government, correct? So they want less government interference, but only for them and their friends? And everyone else can have rules and regulations?

  • Some want government to tell OTHERS what they can and cannot do, but do not want government interfering in THEIR individual lives. It's all about control and having their interests and ideals pandered to-

  • Thats it we are all the same. You hit the nail on the head, Perfecto, You get a cookie!
Actually Conservates have the privilage of being able to see many sides, have many different ideas and not at all staunch and opinionated like many Libs. Most Conservatives are not at all like you describe.(you don't know me so you certainly don't know ALL Conservatives as you imply.)

Ugh........ Not worth trying to explain it to you. Here is the definition. Educate yourself

  • Sorry, can't quite follow your logic. Maybe if we can get the gov't out of the school system so that the teachers could teach things that really matter........anyway, your question makes no sense.

  • OMG, are you seriously this ignorant on Conservative Principles? Smaller Federal Government. POWER TO THE STATES. I can see why you are anon...  It's gotta be hard to own this one.

They want less government interference, smaller government, etc but they also are unhappy if Obama doesn't do whatever they want him to! FISCAL CONSERVATIVES want the FEDERAL government to stop trying spend the economy into a better place with taxpayers money. Fix the economy with tax breaks/tax holidays on small business America (ya know the ones who employ 65%+ of the US). Do NOT mandate states to take money that they will have to cough up funds to maintain programs later. DO NOT take Federal ownership of corporations.

  • They want gay marriage to remain illegal This is a socially conservative issue and they want the STATES to have the right to decide and most want abortion to be illegal. I think you are outdated. I think more Conservatives AGREE with the Hyde Amendment. And the power of the STATES to decide These would be regulated by the government, correct? Less Federal Government... POWER TO THE STATES.

Seriously are you this unaware? Have you READ the Constitution lately?
