Does anyone else give their bigger kid Activia yogurt to help with constipation?

Does it help?

I do give him prunes and keep his diet high fiber..but still has issues from time to time.

I am wondering if this would help some...he is 6.5.

  • My daughter drinks the vanilla flavored Danactive drinks. They seem to really cut down on her tummy troubles, diahrea, and constipation - just generally more regular.

  • activia has some junk in it, if you want to give your kids yogurt, you should use the organic kinds. if you want your kids to have probiotics, you should go to the health food store and buy probiotics. they do make chewables for kids...but i am not sure if it is better to have living cultures or not. we buy capsules of probiotics and sprinkle it on our kids food sometimes. we don't have constipation issues, i think b/c we don't do much dairy.

  • How about a family dietary makeover? Cut way back on, or eliminate dairy, simple/white grains, bananas, processed sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup) and meat.
Build meals around whole grains, vegetables, legumes and fruits; drink only water.
