swollen eye

Can a sinus infection cause a childs eye to swell? Like it looks as if my SS was punched in the eye, he can barely open it. Started a little yesterday and got worse today. Gave him some medicine for sinuses but it hasnt seemed to help. Anyone have any ideas? O and no fever, just said his head hurt and the swollen eye. We are all trying to get over a cold for the last couple weeks and he was doing great until yesterday.

  • pink eye / conjunctivitis is a thought. My son once had a swollen eye without any other symptoms and it was just a weird virus. But sinus infections can lead to p e/c. Let the doctor take a look.

Oh could also be a stye but that usually doesn't happen with a sinus infection but p e / c can.

    Hope he feels better!
