  • I am a SAHM and proud of it. I envy working moms because they have to deal with stress at work and home.

  • does it really matter?

we do what we have to do, or want to do.

    get over it already.

  • I'm not going to hide behind the anon button..

I worked for 12 years active duty navy and always thought SAHMs had it so easy. They could sleep in, not have to work, take care of their kids, eat and pee whenever they wanted to, run errands all day long with no problem, watch TV, play on the computer, etc.

And then I became one. It's definitely been a huge paradigm shift for me.

  • i am a stay at home mom, and it is easy sometimes and hard sometimes. just as im sure it is for people who dont stay home. ive done both. and like someone said earlier... you do what you have to do. there are days when i wish i was still working.. that way i could get an escape (even if it isnt necessarily a fun escape) an there are days when i am happy that i dont have to go to work and deal with adult bull crap.

but in my case... staying home has led to losing a sense of confindence and control. and that is a shitty feeling! no respect. no recognition. but im glad im with my kids. and just so you know.... i rarely get to do anything (like pee or shower) when i want to or have to ugh!
