Why do men complain about the silent treatment?

Isn't that, like, "free time"?

  • LOL...my husband never complains....he's a quiet man and prefers that I don't talk much. So I talk his ear off and ask a million questions to get under his skin....hehehe.

  • I think any one would complain - male or female.

It is a horribly immature way to deal with a problem.

  • Oh yeah...I complain when my husband does it to me and I know for a fact I do it only because when I get mad I tend to say somethings that I will regret later...so I think alot of things through and by the time Im ready to talk Im not mad anymore and everything works out.....

  • Passive aggression is selfish and infantile :p

Not that I'm not guilty of doing it...lol.. I tend to go off and pout simply because I'm upset, need time to process my emotions and don't want to have a knee jerk reaction and say something I'll regret later.

It's difficult for the recipient to not feel frusterated..they don't know what you're thinking, so they can't fix it..men like to fix stuff.
