  • You guys just cannot say it was wrong without feeling compelled to play the "they do it too" card, can you? Would it kill you to just say it was wrong and leave it at that? Do they take away your Jesus card if you do?

  • I don't understand vandalisim it is soooo wrong!

The church of the Holy Trinity and four statues at the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima were vandalized early Sunday morning.

In a press release Monday, officials from the shrine announced that in the early hours of Sunday morning, four statutes on the sides of the church as well as the church itself were painted with graffiti.

In the John Paul II Plaza, statutes of Popes John Paul II and Paul VI were painted. In the Pius XII Plaza, statues of Pope Pius XII and Bishop José Alves Correia da Silva were painted.

The graffiti includes the words "Islam," "moon," "sun," "Muslim" and "mosque."

According to the statement from shrine officials, "the difficult work of cleaning" is under way.

hahaha Called the kettle black lately? There was a post about a Christian church and you played the they did it to card and yesterday there was a post about making remarks towards Christians and you had to point out the Christians do it to but you aren't concerned about that card. Preach it girl, but practice it also

  • OMG this wrong, why? why would someone do this?? It is so bad I can't stand it. I know in China they did more than vandalized they held hostages a pastor.

WASHINGTON (BP)--A Chinese pastor, his wife and eight house church members have been in custody since Sept. 25 when they were traveling to Beijing to petition for justice after local authorities attacked their church-owned facilities, according to reports by the human rights organization ChinaAid.

No, I asked if it only bothered you when non-Christians did it. Nobody has asked if it's ok when these other things happen, they are presenting them as excuses. Someone vandalized a church, therefore it is ok that the circle was vandalized. My stance was consistent in both questions, but apparently, it's a little too abstract for you to grasp.

  • yippee...more Christians acting stupid to make the rest of us look bad.

while i dont want to downplay what happened, im glad it was just a cross placed there instead of grafitti or something else permanent.
