Does he owe Mrs. Palin an apology?

On Thursday's "Imus in the Morning," Don Imus and Chris Wallace joked about Sarah Palin sitting on Wallace's lap when she appears on "FOX News Sunday" this weekend.

"When you interview her, will she be sitting your lap?" Imus asked.

"One can only hope," Wallace replied.

Wallace had previously compared Palin to a whale he's been chasing for over a year.

"We've been chasing her like Captain Ahab and the Great White Whale for the last year-in-a-half," he said.

Palin will appear on Wallace's show from the Tea Party Convention in Nashville.

GROSS!

  • I don't think he owes Palin a personal apology for his remarks--only if he mentioned Trig specifically. But he does owe the American public an apology for being so crass....but that's just how he rolls, so I'm told.

  • Heres another great WOMEN supporter

Rush Limbaugh defended his selection as one of the judges at the Miss America Pageant by saying he has always been a strong supporter of women. It's just feminism he disapproves of because it has "led women astray."

I'm a huge supporter of women. What I'm not is a supporter of liberalism. Feminism is what I oppose. Feminism has led women astray. I love the women's movement especially when I'm walking behind it.

Interviewer Gretchen Carlson, a co-host of "Fox & Friends" and a beauty queen herself, just looked on with a frozen smile on her face.

  • Palin believes Limbaugh’s repeated use of the word “retard” yesterday was “crude and demeaning,” her spokesperson emails.

In the wake of Palin’s demand that Rahm Emanuel be fired for saying the liberal activist strategy on health care was “f–king retarded,” a bunch of people have been asking how she’d react to Limbaugh’s tirade on the air yesterday.

“Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards,” Rush said, adding that Rahm’s meeting yesterday with advocates for the mentally handicapped was a “retard summit at the White House.”

I asked Palin spokesperson Meghan Stapleton for comment on Rush’s rant, and she emailed me this:

“Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.”
