What is the shelf life of Natural butters after mixing? Mango, illipe, Shea ETC...?
I read 3 months but then I have read 6, I also read one year. I plan to make my own hair and body butter, Does anyone have knowlege on this?

  • Mix only a little bit at a time, as much as you will use up in a couple of months. You *technically* can mix more, up to six months worth, or even a little more, but that all depends on how you store it, Optimal conditions are in a cool, dry, dark place--most people's bathrooms are just the opposite. If you keep them too long they tend to get icky--they separate into layers, or get hard and greasy on top, go dark. or start to smell bad.
